About The Movie: PREMIERES: March 15, 2019 WONDER PARK tells the story of a magnificent amusement park where the imagination of a wildly creative girl named June comes alive.

My Review: I really liked this movie. My son was a little confused but that confusion encouraged lots of conversation, even if I was the only one asking the questions at first.

I went in to the film expecting a movie about a kid building a park and being imaginative. It's sweet and fun start. About 10 minutes in there is a completely unexpected plot twist that shifts the movie to something I wasn't expecting. The tone of the movie changes but the way the characters work through the plot was really mature and encouraged emotion. The entire thing is so smart and totally got me in the feels. While it is a heavier topic and may go over some little peoples heads, it offered our family an opportunity for deep conversation after. I really appreciated the care they took in allowing the viewers to come to their own conclusions and explained it completely for people of all ages to understand. The focus on imagination of a young girl and how she handles her emotions was really great. The characters were endearing and the plot was amazing. There is STEM encouragement with the building of the park and lots of focus on imagination. I loved that part. I also loved that it was a smart and mostly respectful young girl who was the builder. It's just a good movie.
