Season of Covid but season of favor

Oh give thanks to the LORD, call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples.

~ 1 Chronicles 16:8

Boy oh boy, has it been a season! I've been juggling momhood, wife life and apparently a bunch of other things. Last week we ended our Bible study season and are revving up for another study, this time on on the Armor of God. Perfect timing to focus on that, I'd say. Oh, along with the rest of the world, our current situation has afforded me an opportunity to be a full time teacher, which I already was to the littles, a full time chef, which means my pants don't fit anymore and a small time entrepreneur. I've had a great opportunity open up with making masks, some for sale and others for donation and all the while, this little fun craft time has taken up my evenings and early mornings for almost a full month. I'm not familiar with what is happening but, for the first time in my entire crafting life, all that I am doing, is working. I mean that literally and figuratively. Turns out, if you work really hard at something you like and believe in, it just balances itself out. My small Sparrow and Manna is self sustaining. I can't help but see the favor in this new season. We as a family cook more, we spend time together, we discuss Jesus more and we play lots of video games - as a family. I have to say, I'm getting much better at Tetris and no, my pants still don't quite fit. While it has been a season of favor for our little family, our extended family is healthy and safe and even though my slow healing Father In Law has contracted Covid, he's getting better. We've lost no one. We've not shed a tear to this beast of a virus and we are living our lives very fully, in a season of favor.

I realize it's been a while since I've done any reviews or talked about life on the blog but it's been such a busy season. I'm hoping to spend this week focused on quick meals and organizing the kitchen (spring cleaning) and fabric to work ahead to prepare for Etsy next week. Ahhh such a busy time but with school ending and the new projects and life things on the horizon. I'll be adding even more fun to our already slightly overwhelming life and it looks like I'm going to need my Jesus time nice and early, along side a GIANT cup of coffee.
