*This is a sponsored post*
Did you see that? This is my first sponsored post. I wasn't sure how I would work with a post like this but honestly, checking out the page, just made me think of all kinds of pinterest options and future blog posts. Also, their website is much cleaner and nicer then mine lol. Below is a picture from the website Premier Surfaces. It's a very informative site. It's easy to navigate and the pictures of kitchens, bathrooms and counters are inspirational to say the least! On the first page you have an option to type in your location and have someone reach out to you. One thing that stinks is they aren't nationwide. Y'all know I'm based in Chicago and the closest location is St. Louis, Mo. Here is a list of locations they serve:
Rochester, NY Richmond, VA Chantilly, VA
Buffalo, NY Wichita, KS St. Louis, MO
Omaha, NE Minneapolis, MN Kansas City, MO
Des Moines, IA Huntsville, AL Chattanooga, TN Birmingham, AL Atlanta, GA
If my budget allowed, I'd have no problem reaching out to this company based on the pics I've seen on yelp. Yeah, I did that kind of research. I want to promote good businesses and encourage my readers to use companies that I, myself, would use. Premier Surfaces offers a huge variety of natural and engineered stones, woods and metals. I saw some really cool engineered stone or maybe even butcher block for a counter top that would be amazing to have in my kitchen. Some of their sink options were also really nice. Our kitchen is the only place I would want to update, at this time, which is why I was looking to see about all they offered. Our floors are horrible, our walls are that 70's red faux brick and then the rest is dark wood or yellow. I would probably pick something like a Calico white counter top, which is an engineered stone and before today, something I'd never heard of. I'd paint my cabinets because I'm a gal on a budget and the room would be pulled together by my very beautiful and new counter top. Most of the stone pics on the site aren't very clear and they look like a natural slab of marble or whatever they're made of but you get the idea. I'm sure in person it would be much nicer. They also do tile work which looks nice and outdoor kitchens and patios. I don't think I'll ever have that kind of money to throw around but if I did, a patio with a built in kitchen would be what I'd make. They show examples of some of their work on the site and their work looks great. Everything they've done on the site looks like an upscale villa. I'd imagine this would all look very nice and be super convenient to just have someone come in and design something that fits my style and budget.
So aside from my general review about the site and all they offer, I do want to share the reasons why I took this ad opportunity.
First, on my quest to become an influencer extraordinaire (I'm seriously kidding when I say that), it only makes sense to challenge myself with different topics and content to reach more readers. I like to offer my opinions when reviewing but I'm always a bit insecure when it comes to structured writing. I love to write off the cuff. It's how I think and speak in the most honest of ways. Will people read it? Will people hear my voice? Am I clearly getting my point across? I sure hope so and I get to kind of do that with this post.
The second reason I was interested in this type of post is because we are a one income family. Like legit living paycheck to paycheck until that stupid debt is out of our lives forever. If this pays off (pun intended) we can be out of debt by January 2020. And then I can blog about that, ha. And have more money to review more restaurants and recipes and toys and maybe get a new camera - it'll just come full circle!
All that to say, my passions lie in creativity and writing. Most of the time it's done as an expensive but not lucrative hobby. Within this post is my hope to improve my skill and my hope that one day I can look at my first sponsored with Premier Surfaces post and see how this tiny, meager post, set the stage for our new lives as a blogging family ❤
